To see the use of homemade bait was something that stuck with me for all these years, back then there was surprisingly more seasonal workers who fished the red back then mainly because farmers didn't use chemicals to treat their crops like they use now. One reason why i never tried to make my own bait is because I always thought it was illegal because the balls don't stay together and dissolve in the current which I believe to be called chumming. But I when i fished the cat fish tournament I asked the guys who ran the tournament that and they said no its not considered chumming. But did say they never heard of anyone making homemade bait balls for catching cats just the garden variety baits like I posted above.</p></blockquote><p></p>
