Message: <blockquote data-quote="dean nelson" data-source="post: 142451" data-attributes="member: 1305"><p>I'm sure most were caught since they stocked them just at first ice. we had a couple hundred broodstock rainbows put in our lake that were from 3 to around 15 pounds but none of them made it to spring. if you ever see these broodstock fish they look like mutants with many blind in an eye and jacked up fins and jaws and backs so crooked they made an share shape. that said that was the most fun fishing we ever had on that lake. the damn things had crap for eye mouth coordination so they tended up missing  multiple strikes on the same lure often sending themselves and the lure 3 or more feet into the air. but man when you got hooked up to a 10 pound bow she would screen off half of my line in just seconds and made for one fun summer.</p></blockquote><p></p>
