Cheaper Lithium for FFS shuttl

Trying to piece together a FFS shuttle for ice fishing. Having a tough time getting past the battery prices at Scheels. I’ve looked on Amazon and online, but can’t find one with the same hookups/connections as the ones at Scheels. Anyone have any luck with some less expensive options? Going with Lowrance active target 2 since I have the screen already. Thanks

Im running my lights and submersible camera from this and it seems to work fine. Not sure how many AH you need for FFS tho, this might not be big enough for you.

Its just like wet batteries the same dude makes them over in china. I think i have 2 BTRs never ran out of juice once - one in the boat and the other for ice. As to the connections you custom them to fit if they dont. I dont remember having anything but wire on the connections with the garmin 34.

I have had 5 years of trouble free use with my eco-worthy 30ah, I have a 50ah I can velcro on the rear but its heavy with the 12 inch garmin. Any LifePO4 will do just fine for you i'm sure. This is a new cheap one and it looks like the right shuttle size.

I have an active target 2 with the vexilar vision shuttle(to start). I would like to tell you there is a better cheap option on amazon, but I couldnt find it. Starting with the spade hookups the the biggest LifePo4 I could find was a 20ah battery, about 50 bucks. It lasted around 2 hours with my set up. My next solution was to have it constantly charging with a solar panel so I got a maintenance size off of amazon about 80 bucks. It extended the time to about 3.5 hours before it couldnt keep up. Solution number 3, buy a different shuttle because the vision's battery room SUCKS. Did that about 200 bucks. Put a bigger battery in the shuttle found some spade adapters and still only got about a 1/2 days use out of the thing.
I broke down and bought the amped 14.8V 32 Ah battery and went 2 day with out a charge.....So my advice buy the nice one right away and do not buy thr vision shuttle.

Beings I can't justify a FFS setup I haven't really paid attention to all the prices. So you have what, $1,500-3,500 setup and you are worried about $275-375 for a battery to actually use it? Do you have to push your vehicle down the hill and pop the clutch to start it?

We heard this same bs when people admitted they bought walmart marine batteries 10 15 years ago. Then found out they made in the same place. I see everyone of those pro walleye bass guys have a different lithium they get paid from. The only dudes getting paid on the cheapos is amazon, the japan engineer, and the shenzhen china factory making that battery along with yours.

The us engineer that designed my F150 AGM --- needed to put a clutch so i could push it so it would start. This winter 150 texts from my truck saying the AGM basically is a piece of shit (which i already knew). Same with the boat interstate agm failure had to be replaced. No i did not buy either of them they came with new.

The other night ago Kemos puts on his facebook showing a rapala (another name brand sponsor sponsor) burning. I know that was some time ago but evidently someone was using one today.

Brand name ----- marketing at its best$$$$$.

Is no one else a little leery of all this stuff with lithium batteries in them? In a thread about ice fishing on FB guy was saying his lithium rapala fillet knife got so hot he could hardly touch it, he threw it outside and it burst into flames. The comment section below this post was crazy. Apparently there was some kind of recall on this knife but people were going on about all this other stuff with these batteries. One guy was using a vexilar size lithium and coming home from fishing his battery started on fire in the bed of his pickup. Other people saying how their houses or cabins burnt down because of this. I have heard of big problems with the Ebikes because of this but I am to the point where I don't think I would charge a battery like this unless I had it within eye sight till it was done.

my assumption on the vex in the back of the truck is the two leads touched + -. Again if a LiFePO4 the fire risk is very low.

I get the concerns about lithium batteries, wasn't it on here where someone mentioned a person got his legs scorched from battery heated socks?

Anyway, there are getting to be a pretty fair number of different chemical formulations for what we collectively refer to as a Lithium battery. It probably wouldn't hurt to review the different types, and their respective fire risks.

Oh, and to just remind people...the old lead acid batteries have been known to explode as well due to hydrogen gas when the conditions are right. I've had a couple explode on me over the years when charging. Sure wrecks your clothes.

Well I work with survey GPS systems for last 20yrs. To get started you are looking at around $45,000-50,000. Our Li-Ion batteries that fit in your palm are $250-300, on a normal day you get around 4-5hrs per battery running solid in the summer and seem to go about 3yrs + when properl maintained. I have customers that buy cheaper versions off Amazon and other places that are off brands but "the same" and they get 1-3hrs and they don't seem to charge correctly.
