Message: <blockquote data-quote="db-2" data-source="post: 148982" data-attributes="member: 4743"><p>As a lad in the fifties they had rabbit drives.  100 people or so got together and would walk towards a central point.  Rabbits and fox would run to this point.  Circle got smaller then only shot guns.  They did work and I remember a bunch of rabbits and fox were taken.  However no deer at that time anywhere.</p><p>Guess it was something to do back then with no TV little alone the other stuff we have but every year it was a big thing.</p><p></p><p>no snowmobiles back then or atv.  But some had snow planes with wolf hounds and they got their fair share of foxes and rabbits with the dogs.  One story and this goes back before I came to be but the hounds came on some wolves and he lost most of his hounds that day. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Jacks.
