Message: <blockquote data-quote="Davy Crockett" data-source="post: 206264" data-attributes="member: 367"><p>It was a "factory" jiffy 30 with the safety collar in place , No extension .  smooth round shaft just reached out and grabbed a hoodie string when the guy was walking with the auger with his finger on the throttle.  First hole of the day warming it up while walking to where he was going to start punching holes.    Within a second he was wrapped up and wearing the jiffy like a bow tie.  Lucky there were a few of us and two other guys had him unwrapped almost as fast as it happened.   No pain , No harm but it could get ugly fast with a poorly tuned auger or in a position where you couldn't let go of throttle or worse yet jam it wide open.     I bet you could take at a couple good lumps fighting an auger.       Ok Safety meeting is over , Be safe.</p></blockquote><p></p>
