Hah hah, yes...I consider myself very familiar with the general issues at hand here. However, if someone on here has a copy of 2009 lease and a 2016 lease for comparative purposes, I think some of the confusion here would disappear. So yes, I recognize there is another level up from my knowledge base on this. - - - Updated - - - If you told me upon my request to drill a well that I did so at my own risk of not being able to run cattle there in subsequent years, then no...I have no leg to stand on. I am pretty sure that any resident out there, given the very public battle they have been in with Reclamation for several years, had to have known there was risk associated with any "permanent" improvements. Perhaps they are so dumb as to think it would bolster their case in the future, I don't know. But I do know they are complete morons if they didn't know there was a risk. Weigh your risks carefully. Too many silly's at once. But for the last two, no and yes. Unless I find myself breaking the law, I am not any more afraid of a law officer with an uzi than I am a glock. I said the Bureau has its own version of law enforcement, never said they don't use the locals? I think someone on here has already stated the Bureau, through the JDA, contracts with the local Sheriff's office. Actually, they do so in many locations. Doesn't mean the Bureau doesn't have law enforcement though but I think it gets used more for facility security and interacting with the local branches of law enforcement than it does running roughshod over the local kids keggers.
