Lenders don't want to be on the hook for repairs that should have been done with insurance money.&nbsp; Yes, we pay insurance on their house, but that is part of deal we sign up for unfortunately.&nbsp; Until the house is free and clear in your name, not much you can do.&nbsp; And like my example noted, it protects buyers as well.&nbsp; It sucks for sure it has been so difficult to do your own repairs.&nbsp; Once again, this is a consequence of uneducated, hack homeowners who do shit work and hurt the value of their (the lender's too) home.</blockquote>
