That's my theory why it's an extremely rare thing to get money back on just about anything.I had to get a kidney stone blasted when I lived in Colorado. Worst experience ever...everything about it was awful! They almost killed me TWICE! NO JOKE! But what really made me mad, was that they tried to get me to pay the full bill up front. I told them that I have insurance and they still tried to make me pay before I got the EMERGENCY surgery. She was asking for like $15k!! I told the billing lady she can kick rocks and I'll just go home to die a horrible death. I even stood up and started walking out (This is no exaggeration!). Luckily my wife was there to cool things down. She saved my life, but I made that billing lady feel bad enough to leave us alone.Then, when you call and try to get all your doctor bills figured out, it's like you are talking to a high school trainee whose mentor is drunk or always out having a smoke! If you aren't forceful and almost rude, you will never get anywhere with them. They'd rather sell the debt to a collector and not have to deal with it.</blockquote>
