I have recently sold my house. The one we are moving to has the gas line already in place in the garage. So it is going to be a Natural gas heater since the hard work is already done. My old house I put in a 5000 watt electric heater that was by no means a power house at getting the garage heated up quickly, it was perfect for keeping it at a good 40-45*. The new garage is twice the size and I would like to keep it at that same temp, unless I am working out there. It is fully finished and double insulated in the attic portion. So it needs to likely be twice the output, and if I want to work out there I want it to be able to bring the temp up to 60* in an hour or less. Any advice on brand and size (output)? The total square footage is in the 1,400 area. 3 stall garage, with the 3rd stall being 2 deep and extra wide.
