I haven't had a single person complain when using mine and seems to be faster than the foodsavers, especially if you have to cut the bags. I think I've gone through close to 3,000 bags with mine so far. works great for fish and game because moisture doesn't matter. Also I dehydrated a bunch of sweet corn this year as I had a ton of it and didn't know what to do with it. Found out that if I put laid jars down full of dehydrated corn in it with the lid slightly loose it would seal them too. I will never buy one of the non chamber type sealers again. The only problem with these is they are big and heavy but I will give you my opinion and that is save yourself money and buy one of the chamber styles. It will pay for itself just in bags alone if you use it a lot. They stack awesome in the freezer and thaw crazy fast that way.
I bought the vacmaster VP112 and have put that thing through hell and back and it just keeps working. Had it for 3 or 4 years now. Wish I would have bought one right away instead of burning up a few of the foodsavers. Bags are dirt cheap from vacuumsealersunlimited.com, but you buy them by the 1000 pack. We use ours for hamburger alot, put in a pound or two pounds in a bag and then after it's vacuumed and sealed roll the meat till its flat in the bag. They stack awesome in the freezer and thaw crazy fast that way.
