Message: <blockquote data-quote="Bri-guy" data-source="post: 124397" data-attributes="member: 1444"><p>I would be a little leery of relying one one of these.  I have had a number of DUI cases where the actual blood alcohol content is MUCH different than the PBT -- and this is from the PBT being used by law enforcement.  I recently had one where it was off by .11%!  Guy blew a .20 on the PBT and blew a 0.09 at the station.  It is commonly off by 0.03-0.05% from the actual test.  That's why they are inadmissible in Court to prove the actual BAC.  </p><p></p><p>There are a lot of variables that make it more or less reliable -- like how hard you blow and how recently you had alcohol in your mouth.  Too many variables to make it reliable on any given night.</p></blockquote><p></p>
