Message: <blockquote data-quote="SDMF" data-source="post: 197981" data-attributes="member: 412"><p>Correct.  The Fed's should be living on crumbs and be last in line.  Your largest tax bill should be your municipality, then township, county, state, and finally Fed.  When the legislator accountable for taxing 25% of your base pay lives mostly in DC and is only in-state during recess and virtually unavailable when he/she is here, there's pretty much no accountability.  Imagine the person responsible for taking say 15% of your gross pay being the person you see weekly in the grocery store, in the lobby @ your Dr's office, or in church every Sunday.  There'd be more accountability for the big chunks.</p><p></p><p>Imagine the $$ saved by $$ only having to flow in one direction.  Far less of this send it to DC so they can send it back out of the left pocket into the right BS.</p></blockquote><p></p>
