Some of the people complaining about these still qualifying for a once in a lifetime situation say the ND G & F wrecked deer hunting by giving out too many doe tags. Now they want the cow elk tags to be open to everyone and not count towards the 1 in a lifetime. If someone decides they’ve waited long enough and is willing to use their 1 towards a cow before they’re too old to enjoy it that’s their decision. If enough people decide they don’t want to that many more tags go unsold and that many more elk make it another year. Maybe that means added tags in the future. Soon I may make the decision to just put in for a cow. If they change it so any leftover tags don’t count for the 1 in a lifetime that many more people would put in for them and they would become harder to draw than an any 1 in a lifetime. System is fine the way it is imo.</p></blockquote><p></p>
