As noted the blade releases are a weak point and mine broke within a couple years. I disassembled and asked Rapala to send me a new plastic piece but they only get the whole knives from China so sent me a whole new knife and batteries. Still using that replacement knife today with the battery from the original purchase. I charge after every use.</p><p></p><p>Bought the new R12 on clearance at Scheels but can't make myself open it while the old one is still going. It owes me nothing at this point, and definitely can't complain about the customer service from Rapala.</p></blockquote><p></p>
