Message: <blockquote data-quote="db-2" data-source="post: 294994" data-attributes="member: 4743">My son was hurt in colorado and after a short stay at the local hospital we were given a choice of Craig Hospital or bring home to Fargo.We heard so much good about Craig and that is where we went.However two things:No insuranceTo far away for us to be there as we should have to help in his recoveryAt home they sent him to Mayo and the expiernce was no different than at Craig.Looking back we should of came home to Fargo and never went to Mayo or Craig.I feel the care would of been much better in North Dakota with the main reason we would of been there to make sure the care was being given.  Found both places just did not seem to care with no one to push.  No insurance, I am sure did not help out.We all have different experience that shape our thoughts about the place we go to.  As i have age i have found that the doctors are human and sometimes one knows what is wrong with ones own bodies.  More than once i have told the doctor what i suspected as the doctor was unsure of what was going on or to do.Just had my third kidney stone or what least that is what I told them.  As no blood in urine doc said it was something else.  Okay but, so I went into the tube.  Well, in was my third kidney stone.At all cost i would not go to Minot due to my previous expericnes there.  When i tore my rotary cup, the first doctor said he would fix without surgery (and I give him a chance and he argue with me when I said I going elsewhere), the second doctor at Grand Forks would not fix as he told me i would not survive the surgery.  Come on doc, full of crab and i found a doctor that did the job with very litte pain in Grand forks.So which hospital, to each there own.  db</blockquote>
