Message: <blockquote data-quote="Reprobait" data-source="post: 162438" data-attributes="member: 777"><p>For a "small gov't" state we sure do like our taxes.</p><p></p><p>I think these local sales taxes should be restricted to a certain percent.   Go to any of the big towns in ND on a Saturday and stores are full of out of town people.   Some areas have a sales tax base and the next county over has almost zero.   It might help the county that has significant sales tax revenue but the people in counties with no sales tax revenue end up supporting their local gov't through property taxes and the gov't where they do much of their shopping through sales taxes.</p></blockquote><p></p>
