Tried a Fenwick and a Scheels rod that were cheaper than I normally spend because they were just extra rods for dead sticks off the back. Only 2 rods I have ever broke simply setting the hook. Never had any problems with St. Croix or G Loomis and the price was only about $60 more. Either buy a $20 Berkley Cherrywood or dish out a little extra nd get a nice rod from a good rod company</p></blockquote><p></p>
