Mag, not any more.  I began shooting the 6.5 PRC a few years ago and couldn't be happier.  Never going back down the magnum route again.  The lack of recoil and better ballistics from my 6.5 PRC trumps everything I thought I had in a magnum.  The 156 EOL Berger in my PRC vs. the 168 VLD out of the 7mm, produces 150 fps and 130 more ft. lbs of energy at 500 yards.  I will echo what SDMF is preaching, lower recoil will make it easier to shoot long range and bullet placement will trump power in most instances.</p></blockquote><p></p>
