I spot sprayed the thistles a few times and the grass grew back in. The survival was excellent but you will get less growth per year without weed barrier or cultivation. Both deer and upland like this mix. The main thing is to make your block of trees wide enough to halt the snow before it fills the grove.</p></blockquote><p></p>
