I think at times it does but I wonder if the biggest part that overlooked is UV brightner's. Where I found some of these new clothing options come into play is versatility and lighter weight. I have comfortably hunted and make easy adjustments when mule deer hunting from about 50° to 90° and 30° to 70° with the same clothes and go from hiking to glassing a hill top back to beating feet in a snap. Where if Im sitting in my blind for hours in colder temps I wear my ice fishing boots, bibs and sweatshirt/jacket combo.When I was a surveyor and made a living putting miles on boots I learned quick that good boots were vital. We had an intern bragging hiw his walmart boots were $35-50 and just as good as out $200 boots. His boots didn't last 2 months, feet got wet from morning dew and caused blisters leaving him a whinny little B. At that time I was on my second summer of my boots, only thing is they were starting to get rotated to construction work in town because they were starting to finally showing signs of breaking down. Im convinced the best camo for hanging in a tree isn't even Walmart Camo but simple dark grey that matches the trees, hunting out west ehen there is no green then you are probably better off with solid earth tones in browns or tans</blockquote>
