Message: <blockquote data-quote="db-2" data-source="post: 193414" data-attributes="member: 4743">lbrandt:Yea I find myself just jumping the gun now days with all that has happen with me and the need to settle down and look at all the good.  So I apologize.Moved from my main stand as you may or may not know what has happen there.My son found me a nice buck that would gross in the 150s to harvest with the bow.  Have the previous two years of pictures of him.I also knew there where some teenagers after it by hunting in their blind with the bows next to us and I told my son it would be best to let them have it as I assume this would be their first bow kill.  Heck of a buck for ones first kill.Then last night my son watch as the two of them drove their daddies vehicle next to the shelterbelts.The buck did jump up a ways in front of their vehicle along with about 15 other deer.  They never seen.So okay if that is they way you have been taught by the adults or you feel that is the way to hunt then I guess the buck is fair game for me.Now it has been coming up to our stand night and day.  And as I write this, as I see how they hunt, I am still second guessing what I should do.  No real desire to kill any more but.  The son just call and said the buck is up there right now (camera sends pictures to phone), was up earlier this morning and last night, the wind is right for tomorrow, the new bow works fine and life will go on.  Just not sure if I have the right reason to hunt this buck. Been a long time since I pull the bow back on a deer but we have at least not named this deer.It does remind me how I was taught to hunt by my dad.  God bless him for the life he gave me but I am not proud of the hunts back then.  The kids just do not know better (got lazy and found that the deer will come to me) as it was for me and in time I got lucky and got a bow in my hand close to twenty years ago.  And then I had a good teacher in my son. db-2The wind is right now so will sit and if the situation come to be I guess will make the decision when and if he comes.  db</blockquote>
