There was a lot of effort put in to bring AIM to North Dakota and that turn out for the last event was a slap in the face. AIM is set up to allow the weekend angler a chance to compete in a tournament field since it's only a 1 day event and there were only 43 teams that showed up. When you consider the payout for a 100 boat field is similar to that of the Gov Cup (252 boat field) or the Walleye Classic (180 boat field) you would think there would be more participation and interest. I truly enjoyed fishing the AIM format and if more fisherman would give it a shot they might be pleasantly surprised and even land in the money. There have been tons of people fishing the river over the last 4-6 weeks and hardly any of them decided to fish the tournament. It's hard to blame the weather when you had to sign up before we knew what it was going to do. Everyone knew the big fish bite has been pretty good so I'd think that should have been enough for a river rat!</p></blockquote><p></p>
