Message: <blockquote data-quote="KDM" data-source="post: 279237" data-attributes="member: 314"><p>We use a food saver and they've held up very well.  We vac pack well over a ton of stuff every year from meats to veggies and these non commercial ones have lasted between 5 and 10 years.  Our current one is on year 6.  What usually breaks down is the gas seal and once that goes, the machine is done.  We've tried to replace the seals, but the replacement seals rarely make it a year so when one craps out, we've just dropped the shekels and bought a new one.  Good Luck!!</p></blockquote><p></p>
