<blockquote data-quote="BrokenBackJack" data-source="post: 149503" data-attributes="member: 642">One winter night when we had the 3 years of heavy snow in central ND, we had lots of deer in the farmstead, anyway i took the dog out before we went to bed and as she was doing her business all of a sudden this long vocal cut loose and the pitch varied a little.&nbsp; It lasted i am guessing around 5-8 seconds.&nbsp; Never heard anything like it before or after.&nbsp; My hair literally stood up on my neck and you get that adrenelin rush.&nbsp; The dog came running at me and wanted me to pick her up.&nbsp; That sucker had my attention 100%.&nbsp; Went in the house as i wanted nothing to do with it at that time of the night.&nbsp; Been around bears, cats, and numerous other animals all my life and nothing comes close to this sound.&nbsp; Next day i had doctor appt. in Bismarck so couldn't go scouting for whatever made that sound and the following day we ended up with another snowstorm so that was out and no tracks other than deer to be found after the storm.I honestly believe there could be something as they are finding all kinds of undiscovered things all the time .&nbsp; Never know but don't want one shot just to prove it exists either if it does exist.&nbsp; Many people have said why haven't they found the remains of one?&nbsp; In all my years of hunting and scouting i have never found a dead bear, cat, or sheep while in the mountains.&nbsp; Have found the remains of deer and elk but very few and there were lots of them around.&nbsp; Found more dead deer in ND than in the mountains by far.&nbsp; Animals get eaten fairly fast in the mountains as more animals around to devour it.Been laughed at by more than 1 person for saying there could be something out there.&nbsp; We all have our beliefs and guesses.</blockquote>
