The chickens eliminate every tick that comes into the yard. What we find on ourselves or the dogs from being in the field see the same fate. Just one of the perks of having feathered velociraptors around.

With the talk of Ticks.......thought I would mention a new Tick/Flee collar I tried for the first time last year on my Setter. I live in N Minnesota and we have ticks when there is still some snow on the ground. This year I put the collar on my pooch on 3-12-16 the same day I found the first and only tick. Last year she never had a tick the entire year. Before this new collar I was an avid FrountLine Plus user. This new collar out performed Frontline hands down. Its easier, Cost less, and I don't have to remember to put it on her every month!!!
Here a link to the collar but I still buy my at one of our local vets. Want to make sure they are around if my pooch has an emergency:;:exactly

Not knocking any product specifically, but the downside of a flea and tick collar is the exposure of the pesticide to everyone that pets the dog. Most collar formulations are topical in nature and not systemic like frontline so anyone touching the dog can get a dose of the pesticide. Just something to think about if you typically have children petting the dog or they are house dogs.

Haha! My Grandpa would always say "Ah, they don't eat much". Yeah Grandpa, until they get to be the size of an extra large chiclet on your dog. Gross.

Effing ticks. Why doesn't KDM do something with his slow-assed flying vehicle?

I beg your pardon!!! I'll have you know that going 220 mph at 100 ft off the ground is pretty fast if you're sitting in the cockpit. (Grin) We only go after ticks that carry disease. Fortunately the dog tick carries nothing of that nature and is just a nuisance. Much like Guy.

Lots of respect for the 130 except when trying to get home on one!
