I am taking my 7mm rem shooting 160 grain participations as a backup rifle. Who knows when I get out there maybe that will be my main rifle I carry.

I just picked up 2 boxes of 175 ABLR at Scheels in Fargo Friday night. Would rather have 160 partitions, but thought I better grab them, as they are the only 28 Noslers I have been able to find.

I have two boxes of 160 Partitions I have not tried shooting them yet, next time I go to the range I'm going to shoot them. I plan to start reloading my own now that I was able to get ahold of a brick of magnum primers

This is your friend on the bench. Makes 7Rem recoil feel like a .410, .30/30 or some such while wearing a T-shirt. Your coat, etc will compensate for eye relief on the hunt. Limbsaver slip on:

Generally speaking, the ammo availability issue with cartridges like these is good reason to either stick with the common heavy hitters, or stock up so you don’t have to worry about availability. Lots of wheels have been reinvented over the past few decades: SAUM, WSM, RUM, etc. What will be next and what will stand the test of time?

Doesn't do a thing for muzzle jump; so follow through however fleeting is paramount.

TANGENT: IMO the best way to develop "follow through" is shooting "one hole" groups @25 with an airgun. .22 rimfires @50 leave the bbl too fast and don't provide enough emphasis on holding EXCACT form when the trigger breaks.

Here's a tune from Canada:

My 300 Win mag By Remington 700 with 24in barrel came with a factory muzzle break kicks like a 243. Ear protection is a must no-matter what. LB

5575 I believe you can sign up directly on Nosler’s website to be contacted when your round of choice is back in stock. But be ready to buy fast. Or you can always overpay on gunbroker.

How would the 175 grain ABLR work for elk?
Excellent. Just have to see how they shoot out of your rifle I guess, should be a very inherently accurate round.
My son's bull was taken with a 160 gr accubond out of a 7 mag.

So far the hand load that I've come up with for my rifle is 81 grains of H1000 with a Hornady 162 ELDX with COAL of 3.335, I worked up from 76 grains and 81 grains was the most stable on the ladder test
