Going to the pier at Eggerts Landing for the first time. Any information or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks
Yep!! This time of year, the crossing would be far and away a better option. Low water, a summers worth of weed growth, and you get BULLHEADS at the pier. You have current at the crossing as well as rocks and enough depth to keep the weeds at bay for the most part. You will have to walk a little to get there, but it's a small price for decent fishing IMO. At the crossing you have a legit shot at walleyes, white bass, pike, bass, perch, crappie, and the odd musky.....as well as bullheads if you use live bait. 1/8th oz jig and a twister tail. Cast it out and count to 10. Then reel it in real slow with an occasional hop or pop. Good Luck!!I'd recommend the crossings over bay shore for shore fishing.
