I'm going to Vegas.

Not into gambling. What are some must sees or things to do in Vegas? Obvious things that come to mind are drink a lot and stay away from Aldean concerts.

Try spearmint rhino. Freemont St is worth a visit. Affordable food and drink and some fun stuff to see at night, just don't venture far off. North LV is not a great area, unless you want to be on an episode of COPS. There are some great shows in the evening. Find one you like and attend, but get your tickets from one of the booths on the strip, much cheaper tickets instead of buying direct. Get yourself in In and Out burger. You can thank me later. Lots of places to walk and see. People watching gets interesting in the evening.

I was there 4yrs ago, first and only time, for a giant construction expo. Had to work the show so didn't do a ton of extra things that wasn't related to the expo but was able to find some good priced Coors Lights and went around to different bars that had entertainment going. There was an outdoor one that had a concert next to the Flamingo, think it was Carnival something, that had an really good cover band playing, Jimmy Buffets Bar was good too.
Some portions of those 3 days are a little fuzzy on the memory.

If you have wheels, check out Hoover Dam and the A-bomb museum.

Vegas really isn’t about gambling anymore…I mean you certainly can if you go but there is so much going on there is no way to get it all in … yes Fremont Street is fun, also if you are going to throw a few bucks into gambling that is the place to do it, everything is a bit cheaper off the strip and always go to the back bars in the casinos drinks are cheaper … just walking up and down the strip and checking out casinos is fun … the seafood buffet at the RIO is pricey but worth it, shows are actually pretty cool too but expensive. There used to be a fairly cheap comedy show at the Tropicana, been a few years since I have been there so not sure if they still have it…Hoover Dam is really cool and about an hours drive south, not a bad deal to rent a car and check it out also Lake Mead is on the way, lake fills up with mountain run off, we stopped there once in early April, dash board on the car read 102 degrees, but water temp was about 45 degrees … just remember everything is more expensive on the strip

Word Of advice. Never pay for a drink on the strip. Sit at a slot in the path of a cocktail waitress. Lol

This. Throw a $20 in the machine and sit and wait. Spend a buck when you see them coming and then cash out. You can follow them around all night like this. On a side note, the wheel of fortune machines paid out pretty well the last few times I've been down there so it's worth a shot. I'd rather sit at a poker table then play the machines or other tables.

We have been going once a year for last 6-7 years...We have stayed ayt many hotels.....Tropicana is a pit, will never stay there again

We have also stayed at Harrahs, Treasure Island, New York New York, and Flamingo.......Treasure Island pretty nice, Harrahs and NY NY decent but we will only stay at Flamingo from now on.....but get a GO room as they are very nice and can find pretty good rates on GO rooms there....Flamingo centrally located on strip

We have seen pretty much every show up and down strip.....some very good ones....but best we've seen is Mat Franco at The Ling.....pretty much only show we couldn't get tickets for a day in advance or day of....he was awesome

Go to Casino Royal for cheap beer....domestic beers are $1.75 a can or close to that....can buy couple cans and go for walk and head back for more

Every casino has something to see of interest for free....just involves lots of walking....first two visits all we did is visit the casinos and go though them....

Lots of great places to eat....just do some Google/Bing researching....best steak house for somewhat of a reasonable price is Steak House at Circus Circus.....we have paid much more elsewhere but keep coming back to Steak house at Circus Circus

walk the strip and take in all the characters that out there hustling a dollar.....worth some good laughs

yep - and you will also be nauseated by much of it if you're the "honorable" type

- - - Updated - - -

if I never set foot in a casino again I'll be fine with that - that sound, those lights, that smell... it's like listening to women chatter for me

Just remember.... If at the end they give you your room for free, don't go bragging about it. While you might be thinking "I'm so special I got a free room in Vegas", everyone you tell will be thinking "What a fricken idiot! He lost so much they actually gave him his room for free."

I always stay in Henderson - I hate LV - in a former life I was there for a couple months a year for trade shows -
Now I go on purpose to shoot up at Clark County Shooting Complex - they have a really nice Sporting Clays course - Five Stand - Skeet and Trap set up along with a firing range for hand guns and long guns. Plus lots to do away from LV -
Too much cigarette smoke in the casinos which also goes up the elevator shaft to the rooms - generally unpack in the garage when I get home.

I go to Vegas at least once year and I don't gamble at all (except the occasional sports bet). If you're a foodie you can find top notch restaurants of literally every type of food. PM me what kind of food you like and I can point you in the right direction. I really enjoy the people watching. I hit up the pool during the day and walk up and down the strip at night. The brooklyn bowl is a cool place if they have a reasonably cheap band playing that night. There's always fun stuff to do.

Freemont Street has undergone a major renovation in the last 2 years. It is no longer the "old school" Vegas area with cheap drinks and casinos. It's suddenly popular with millenials so I personally don't care for it anymore. It's a cool experience, but it was a lot more fun before the renovations.

Freemont Street at night and laugh at the ''freeks''. Mob museum not far from Freemont street. You can walk there. We were there 3 hours and could have spent 5 but they were super busy. Hoover Dam but get the tour package. Red Rock Canyon is cool.
You can go see the Pawn Stars place but we never made it there yet.
Good shows on the strip.
Could do the Zip lines on Freemont.
