I have a couple that I use indoors and they work but useless outside during the day. How powerful do they need to be to be able to see the beam during daylight under 100 yards ?
If I remember correctly the lazer power is limited by law to 5mw. The only way to see in daylight is go to a green dot Lazer. Surpringly thst color is more visible to the human eye. They were expensive when they first came out, but are comparable now.
You will notice when you go out at night that not only the dot is visible, but so is the beam for hundreds of yards. I have used mine to point out constellations to the grandkids. Thanks PG, I got a 5mw green on the way.
