I ordered a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 SLE (regular cab) on April 14th....just arrived at dealer yesterday (signed the papers today). 8-months to the day for delivery! Pretty basic truck, I have had crew cabs for 35 years and was sick of collecting junk in the back seat. Rarely have more than one person riding with me..... most of the time just the dog (dog is smarter than most people anyway). Payload sticker says #4300.....crazy for a SRW!

I know a guy who was looking at getting a new one for $92,000. The one he owns now only has 7,000 miles and claims they'll give him 70 some thousand for it.

Give it time. They will be needing to move some product to pay wages and the light bill.

Nice to hear someone else likes a regular cab pickup. I do to. My last two have been regular cabs but my next might be an extended cab, but its got to have an 8' bed.

I've been looking at pickups also. New ones are freaking insane what they want for one and even used ones with close to 100k miles they want next to new prices. My 01 has 240k miles and needs some work. Would like to replace it but not sure I want to spend 60k to 100k to replace it.

Popular vehicles, 3/4 and 1-ton trucks in particular are still in short supply. Half-tons are readily available. Special ordering anything (if they will even do it) is out around 6-8 months.

Coworker of mine wanted to special order a Toyota 4Runner, local dealership said no to that and you pretty much have to buy what's available or in transit. He ended up finding what he wanted at another dealership and had them deliver to Bismarck.

I'm in the mood to replace one of my vehicles, the 09 F250 has 165k on it, while my 2015 4Runner has 117k. Nothing wrong with either of them, but I need to infuse some youth into my vehicle lineup.

When i bought my current truck a few years back, i told myself I was definitely trading before I hit 350k like the back up i still have. With prices and interest rates, I just can't justify it even if I can afford it. It's fucking bananas!

^^I'm with you Allen - decided I'm upgrading to a 3/4 ton this spring. Going to buy new because I want to have it paid off when I retire in 5 years. I'm going gas, need it as my daily driver. I've resigned myself to the fact I'm gonna spend $65-$70K on the model I want. Covid and supply chain challenges did none of us any favors!

Wait and see....GM,Ford,grabbed the EV program by the horns now after the last 12mos they realize they were "snookered",both ford and GM were restricted building fossil fuel rigs, high end pickup and full size suv's very limited availability in v8 and diesel powertrain, then the Auto union strike on our American made vehicles will put a damper on supply chain.

GM was in discontinuing fossil fuel v8's in 2022,nixed small block v8's and replaced v8,v6 std engine with a 2.7 turbo 4 banger, worthless engine for full size vehicles, might take months to catch up to demand?

Rydell in GF has a good amount of 1500s but can't keep 2500s and 3500s in stock. Of course this is the town that has more Escalades and Suburbans/Yukons per capital than most (every soccer mom owns at least 2). Unreal how much $$$ is parked at the hockey rinks on any given Saturday/Sunday.😁

The economy must be doing really good if people can afford all those $50,000-$100,000 vehicles. Thank you, Joe.

Probably a healthy dose of each.

But let's face it, if you're at the hockey rink every week (ostensibly chasing your kid), the payment on one of these new vehicles may still be less than the cost of a travel team.
