Questions about Last Mountian Lake in Saskatchewan

The disappointing part of Ft. Peck is the almost never reliable ice conditions. Way to many gas pockets and big winds that make the ice crappy. Add in the garbage access to the lake and then you understand why there are such big fish there.

Yeah ive been wanting to take a trip there for a few years now. Unless they have an open winter where you can access the west end, it seems like it wouldn't be worth the drive. It sounds to me like the east end is so damn sketchy ice wise.

I am also looking to Ice fish Last Mountain next year instead of Winny.

We were up there in June and had trouble catching smaller ones to eat.. one definitely catches big fish and good numbers

How were you fishing? Does it get rough? Looks like if the wind is straight out of the north or south it could be a bitch.

Fished spinners hammered brass and silver, jigs and cranks, And yes if the wind comes up it gets nasty
