I’ve been looking at buying a lever action, specifically a Marlin, probably the Guide gun chambered in .45-70. Why you ask? Well...because. I want one. Really all there is to it. So anyway, looking at how other folks have their own set up, I’ve seen quite a few with the scope mounted like so:
