Tailrace Salmon

I've been seeing quite a few Salmon caught in the Tailrace lately. Where are these fish coming from? For some reason I thought they quite stocking them in there. Are they escapees? Or coming up from Sd?

By the way thanks for the report Dewey! it was nice to escape the wind on the big lake and get the boy on some Salmon this weekend.

We were in the boat, but you could just as easy catch them from shore.

they are coming up from Oahe. Some falls are better than others but salmon come up to the tailrace every fall.

I suspect they're ones that come thru the dam since there's not very many in there and they're all runts.
