Is anyone rocking the 2.7L f150? A guy can snag a brand new one of those for $33,000. I have heard it is a good engine, just pulls 4,000 lbs less then the 3.5 L

I have a 2013 with the 5.0. Love it but my empty mileage is about the same as your towing mileage. when pulling my 18.5 glass boat I'm at about 10-11 mpg.

Jig...have found that wind makes a bigger difference than one would think. I drive 15 miles one way to work...bout half at highway speeds/half in town. I re-set the MPG meter this morning before I left the house...just for S&Gs. Got 21.2MPG on the way in...no wind to speak of this morning and the 8 or so miles on the highway today I did 70MPH. Yesterday driving back to Minot from Audubon I had a 20MPH head wind...got 14.2MPG pulling the boat...so not terrible, but the F150 pulls better than a lot of Chevy/Dodge guys might think!

GM is pushing they're 2.7lit turbo 4 banger, test drove one, gutless but then again it's all about "mpg's" these days, with numb nutts biden fucking up our fossil fuel business, pipeline one needs to be concerned on fuel costs.... I know I have no choice in my needs for transportation, since I put my dad in senior care a few month's ago I snapped his 2004 honda I bought for my mother new(she passed on a few years ago),getting my big ass in and out of that "rice burner" is a pain but like the 35mpg's with pump prices climbing who knows when we'll see pump prices under $2/gal again? surely opec will be goudging us again.
