Usually by this time of year we hear about someone that shot or at least saw a mountain lion. I'm talking about areas away from the main areas out west.

Hard to see when its brown like this, although it would be neat to see one, or better yet shoot one, so far I like brown, and could give a crap if we get any snow at all. I like NOT using my snow blower!! :;:rockit

Looks like 6 have been taken already.

http://gf.nd.gov/news/mountain-lion-zone-1-late-season-opens

Mountain lion hunting during the early season in Zone 1 closed Nov. 22 with six of 14 cats taken. The late season in Zone 1, with a quota of seven, runs Nov. 23 through March 31, 2016, or until the quota is filled.
In addition to other legal methods, the late season allows mountain lions to be pursued with dogs. The late season quota in Zone 1 filled early last year, so hunters are advised to check for updates by visiting the North Dakota Game and Fish Department website, gf.nd.gov.
Zone 1 includes land south of ND Highway 1804 from the Montana border to the point where ND Highway 1804 lies directly across Lake Sakakawea from ND Highway 8, crossing Lake Sakakawea then south along ND Highway 8 to ND Highway 200, then west on ND Highway 200 to U.S. Highway 85, then south on U.S. Highway 85 to the South Dakota border.
The mountain lion season in Zone 2, which is the rest of the state outside Zone 1, has no quota and is open through March 31, 2016.
The mountain lion season is open only to North Dakota residents. A furbearer or combination license is required.

I've been breeding and releasing wolves for years. Less mortality rate with them than pheasants.
