The split-shot rig is a finesse walleye presentation that was being used far before the word “finesse” was even applied to fishing techniques. When paired with a redtail chub, it can get you bit when all else fails – especially when talking about shallow, pressured fish in the fall.

This video also shows a little twist 👀 I've been using on mine the last couple of seasons with a bunch of success. The bite will really start to ramp up now that water temps have (finally) dipped into the upper-50s.
