Last year this lake absolutely humbled me. The walleyes were EASY to find, but getting them to actually bite was a completely different story. After spending multiple trips struggling to put together a consistent pattern, I knew I had to come back at the right time of year and give it another shot. In this video, I return to the lake determined to finally figure things out and start putting the puzzle pieces together.
As the day unfolds, I begin dialing in a pattern using jigs and live bait, making small adjustments and slowly building confidence with every fish. What starts as another challenging day quickly turns into one of those trips where everything finally begins to make sense. Along the way, I break down the locations, timing, and little details that helped trigger more bites while showing the real process of patterning walleyes on a tough lake.
By the end of the video, it starts to feel like there may be an even bigger opportunity developing somewhere else on the lake… and that’s where things are headed next. This is Part 1 of a 2-part redemption series documenting the process of learning from failure, adjusting on the fly, and trying to crack the code on a lake that beat me last year.
