I dont think any one wants any of that but people are awaking that the system is broke and are tired of countrys like Israel being way to involved and our tax dollars and military protecting and funding there crooked ass.

Its ok to be critical of Trump or any political figure giving them a blank pass and following blindly is not a successful strategy for long term survival of this country. We really are at a turning point when all the choices are bad and worse. People like to think every thing is black and white but the grey area is where the real world lives

As I've said many times before, we need term limits on Congress. That alone could fix a lot of problems.
Do I like Trump? No I don't, never have, but considering the alternative to me its a no brainer on who was better suited to run the country. And I agree with Trump when he says Iran can never be allowed to have a nuke, I hope this is something we can all agree on.

I hope the Iran situation gets settled soon, gas prices come down, and the economy really takes off. I will remain optimistic.

Being Israel’s patsy and sending our kids to fight their problems is what bothers me. Should Iran have a nuclear weapon hell no. Is the intelligence that they were close credible if it’s the same we got about Iraq having wmd’s well that speaks for itself and guess who is behind both those reports the same people that seem to have known October 7th was going to happen but are willing to sacrifice their people to have a reason to steal Gaza and tug on the heart strings of people. They are masters of manipulation. Who mock Christianity just the same as Muslims.

$6.27 @ the truck stop on the N side of Sioux Falls yesterday.

I sold my 14yr old F250 diesel in July and went back to a 1/2tn gas. I’m not mad yet.

Can you imagine what it feels like to be an OTR guy and fill 250-300 gal. in one shot? Or facing up against harvest, running a couple combines, cart, and several trucks? The math is just punishing, particularly if you didn't contract a bunch of fuel before this mess. Gotta feel for the folks who are watching profit go away by the gallon, literally.

Our freight rates keep inching up, which they need to given prices. It filters to everything we buy. I just saw a chart today that showed almost perfect correlation to the CPI and oil prices. It is an ugly, ugly deal right now. Inflation running rampant, bond rate will crack 5% tomorrow I would guess. But no way to cut rates right now. The Fed is trying to shove policy down the throats of those who are standing on fundamentals. Bessent is likely going to find out who runs the show (and it isn't him like he thinks). Our government is pushing inflationary policies yet are unhappy that there is inflation that their monetary policy can't handle. I feel like it's getting real close to F around and find out time that will come at the cost of the US consumers.

That's like saying if you think your property taxes are to high , sell your place and rent an apartment, or if you want a deer license move to another state or buy a quarter of land and get a gratis license. you need to pull your head out of the sand and realize it's not just that simple for 99.9 % of American citizens.

Unfortunately, financial planning and decision making currently being utilized by many folks is based on whether or not you can make the payment and not on the long term negative impacts of all that interest from all those loans. If more folks did that, I suspect that the price of fuel would be less stressful than 8 pages of thread would suggest. That's just me though.

I agree with this mostly. There’s lots of folks out there living outside of their means with payments each month. But there are certainly folks out there who are working hard at jobs that don’t pay great. They’re putting kids in school, buying groceries, etc. and fuel prices do have a significant effect on their budget.

Most of us on here are blessed enough to still pull the boat to the lake while bitching about fuel costs. It’s easy to forget about those who stress every time they pull up to the pump.

There is an element of truth in this but it doesn’t account for business owners , farmers etc The price of fuel comes directly out of the bottom line

But I don’t feel wages have risen with inflation in the past 10 years, so is this a real representation of what people are feeling? Not questioning, just curious. It's all good guys! Mr. Prez said gas will drop to less than $2/gal after the midterms. Combined with the $5k Doge check, $2k Tariff checks, and (possibly) another $5k dividend check, we should be SMILING going into Christmas!


That's assuming all that actually happens, of course.
