Makes you realize the other projects are made to jump thru a bunch of hoops for no reason.

With 50000 civil law suits against NV Energy. The lawyers/Attorney will add up if they would suing NV Energy individually. And a class action law suit with all of them together. I can't see a judge allowing this to happen to the residents.

Could be that the impact of a building with some computers in it is a little less than something like refineries? I know people are really buying into the datacenter bs right now, but people need to use some sense also. Datacenters arent going to use up all the farmland, they arent going to destroy the climate...

The Wall Street Journal had his exclusive ready ~18 minutes before he tweeted. The first accounts to boost him were AI-regulation groups funded by the same donor network (Jaan Tallinn / Survival and Flourishing Fund) that also invested in Anthropic. Coxon himself took a 2022 “long-term future” scholarship from Dustin Moskovitz’s Good Ventures—another Anthropic-linked doomer funder. Bernie Sanders immediately used it to push a superintelligence ban that was already written. Anthropic is heading toward a massive IPO and benefits if Congress slows its rivals in the name of “safety.” He may sincerely believe the doom talk. The launch still looks like a coordinated op to manufacture panic and lock in regulation.
