    Take a look at transducer Shield and Saver. I have to do that for my new Power Pole trolling motor. The style I bought does not have the built in transducer as an option.... so, I am looking at putting the Lowrance 3 in 1 transducer on the barrel of the trolling motor.

    Side Imaging Graph Options?

    My opinion using all of them is that side imaging is a horse a piece. The right tweaking of setting and transducer placement they all shine compared to 5-6 years ago for SI. You would be served, even if you dont forsee utilizing FFS anytime soon, to get a unit that does have great FFS quality...

    Mid winter blues...

    Spent the winter turning a bedroom into a bathroom. Just got done last weekend. The new boat should be here in 2-4 weeks and then I have many hours of rigging. That should get me to some open water opportunities.

    Garmin, Lowrance, or Bird

    I have used Garmin 93sv and it was decent. Personally I wouldnt go less than 12 inch. As I get older my eyesight gets worse. Larger screen and higher end units with higher pixel counts are worth the $$ to me. I am running 8612 and 8616 Garmins and Live 12s from Lowrance.

    I love fishing, boating, setting up boats, and proper break-in. The more I learn about my equipment the more fun I have. I am also fortunate that my wife loves to fish and has more rods than purses or other "girly" stuff so I get to go hog wild on our builds.
