    When was the Washburn, Underwood, Coleharbor area not posted tight? Banker in that area use to lease up most of the area around the refuges when the little Canada geese staged there in the 80s and 90s. Maybe there was a time inbetween when it wasn't, but I have never seen that area...

    Rather then comment of Kitty's post. Join the TRCP (membership is free). Image the hunting opportunities in WY, MT and even western ND if mandatory access or easements are created for all public land completely encircled today by private land. There used to be some really nice land...

    Slope, Bowman, and Golden Valley counties do indeed have a higher percentage of "crazies". Isolationists, paranoid .... True in the 70s and 80s and apparently still true today.

    35 Trespassing Violations in 2019

    Many of the trespassing issues in ND occur quickly along the fringes of the posted land. These opportunistic people sneak on and off the land quickly. Road hunting roosters, jumping a slough near a road, killing a deer in a field and running the truck out there to get the animal quickly...

    My dad was friends with Marshall Ken Muir. I knew Ken and he was a good guy. He had a wildlife framing business that was going to be his retirement income and hobby. He had some very interesting tours as a US Marshall ... if memory serves he had stints protecting Kennedy and the Stones...
