    ^^^This^^^. Even my short adventures crossing the river while bow hunting had me on high alert for potential disaster. Doesn't take long for an unseen branch or log to wreak havoc. Awareness and preparedness is critical.

    Let's remember fishing isn't always about harvesting, it can be about the adventure. New lakes are a challenge, and a road trip helps give a break from this crazy world we call home these days. Might just be worth the price of a NR license!

    My 2 cents is that OnX Fish is geared towards scouting lakes - think one-stop-shop for stocking, surveys, info about the lake and what's in it. Their maps are NOT for precision from what I've seen. Most other dedicated lake maps will blow it out of the water (no pun intended) but they won't...

    I found $500 round trip per adult and hotels at $140/night that seemed legit. So $2400 for 10 days of hotel and airfare. Assume I want a car rental, some food at restaurants, some DIY in the hotel room kitchenette....
