    Commons and buffs

Its been a few years since I've bowfished but I'd say audubon is your best bet because there are some massive buffalos in there. New johns & the canal lakes are good for numbers but the size will be a bit smaller than in audubon.

    What is your dream boat?

    I'd like to have a Yar-Craft 186TFX someday

    Minnkota sonar

You'll have to buy an adapter that connects the US2 transducer from minnkota to your lowrance. That will give you just your standard 2D reading from the transducer in the trolling motor. If you want DI up front you will have to mount your DI transducer onto the trolling motor.

    Black Hills Trip

I've rented both snowmobiles & Atv's from a few different places down there. My favorite place to rent from is mystic hills hideaway. The staff has always been very helpful on recommending trails & what time of day to run certain trails to avoid the trail getting destroyed (mainly an issue on...

    Tip ups

I use the frabill pro tip ups. Only bad thing I can say is if using a 10" hole they tend to float in the hole instead of lay over it.

    Casting Cranks

The new berkely hitsticks look like a nice non-rapala option, much heavier than the original floater. More like a husky jerk I would say. I picked up a few to try out this fall in Jaykay's favorite spot.

    Fish taxidermy

Check out "top notch taxidermy" in Brookings SD. I had Tyler do a walleye replica for me & it turned out amazing.

    Big Muddy Tournament Date

Remember that the game & fish claims all these fish we area catching now live in the river & don't migrate.....I think this tourney will prove to them what all the fisherman already know. You'll have the best sticks in the area fishing this tourney & the quality of fish will be nothing compared...

    Tigerking!

Just a warning the first episode is a little slow going, at least I thought it was. It is a lot of background about each character & introductions. So if you don't like the first one force yourself to watch at least 1 more, that is where the trainwreck starts!!

    2020 Open Water - I'm Ready...Already

    Alkaline Lake Access

I was down there Saturday on the south side of the lake. You can't even get close to the boat ramp because of the snow drifts. We ended up parking along the road that splits alkaline & fresh & pulling our gear down the snow covered rip rap. That seems to be what everyone else was doing also.

    Lake Audubon walleyes

A plain red treble hook on a tipup has been best for me this year or a 1/16 oz summer time jig. For jigging rods i've caught a few on chubby darters but it seems deadsticks have been by far better.
