im more of a porter house guy lately, I started doing the sear in a cast iron pan and finish in the oven with cranes and they were excellent, now that's how i cook my steaks.
nothing against guides it wouldn't be a easy to make a living. Devils lake has a lot of guides, seems to me 50 percent are farmers deducting there snobear and ranger boats.
While the guide is on a decent bite he has a few other guys prospecting for the next bite its not the same.
