If the wrong side writes them yes. I think the firearms groups are tye ignorant ones thinking swecan just maintain the status quo and we'll be fine. I would like to see some proactive steps or were going to have the wrong party in power, a terrible event, and we're going to lose a bunch in one...
I don't think they have the same constitutional rights we have solidly enshrined. With rights come responsibilities though, and t g ere are redtrictions on macine gubs and mental health as proven restrictions on those rights. I know it gets muddy with red flag laws but I'm more afraid of the...
Everyone is so scared of red flag laws being turned on them. I get the fear but all it is going to take is a few success stories of them and we’re screwed. We can either craft them ourselves or worse yet let the antis craft them for us with a couple happy stories. As much as I hate it I think...
The old yellow forms went into boxes to be kept for 7 years. You’ve got to be an idiot to think that a registry wouldn’t be created once they switched it to online. I too couldn’t care less if they know what I have. The fact is 99.999% of gun owners operate legally and responsibly and have...
There le simply a few folks that ruin it for everyone. It either turns to non stop reposts of X stuff or pissing matches between about 5 people. If you enter the thread with a reasonable demeanor you likely get crucified for not being on a side.
There are absolutely political outdoor topics...
Biathlon is fun to watch. One or two misses changes the whole race. Shooting a prone target the size of a golf ball at 50 meters with your heart rate above 160 is incredible.
I’ve adventured some on rivers like this and one thing I would say is ….slow. Traveling is way slower than what you think it will be. Add in low water and portages and a few hour float is actually 6-8 hours. Fun though.
The legislature sure shot that down quick. Apparently having a license and insurance shouldn’t apply to fishing guides in SD. It’s funny how you have the “small government” and “we don’t need regulations” group complaining we need to regulate guides. Convenient when beneficial I guess...
Lots of fish get taken the other 9 months of the year too. A closed season for that reason alone doesn’t make sense. Protection the spawning fish but if they get caught in the summer it has no effect? I know they may be more vulnerable then but still the other harvest drastically offsets...
4 walleye 10 perch is reasonable. Slot limits are feel good measures but scientific research shows little overall effect. I do like SD one over 20” rule as a middle ground for walleye. But a 10” gill or 14” perch is equivalent to a 28” walleye. So how do you protect them? Lower limits imo.
Bitcoin and crypto are getting hammered too. I wonder how many took their gains? My little sum is sitting there still but it’s not enough to feel sorry about. Still sitting ok.
I know one thing, I don’t leave li batteries unattended on chargers any more. Too many bad stories. Garage fires these days are not often battery fires.
The metals guys I know are like prairie dogs. In good days when the sun is shining and prices are rising they’re out of their holes chirping all day long. But when things go bad and a few shots are fired they’re down their holes quiet as can be lol!
