speaking of "taping ballistics to your stock"... does someone not make a handy ballistics chart holder thingy

like the quarterbacks play book wrap on their wrist?

I get tired of tape going all gunky and letting go, etc.

I used to use a regular "wrist coach" for exactly that purpose. Printed and laminated my own dope cards that would fit in there. Had a different card for each rifle / load. Its ability to stay where you want it depends on the shape of the stock.
Most of them use Velcro, which is way too loud for a hunting rifle. I replaced the velcro with magnets.

Laminate a chart and slide it behind one of those stretchy shell holders that go on the stock.

This is a more purpose-built solution, but still appears to use velcro, and I don't like that there's no cover. -- That shiny plastic is just asking for trouble when hunting coyotes on a sunny day.

$50. Shell holder is like $10 and I works perfect. Just slide out the chart, take a look and slide it back in. Plus you have extra shells at the ready.

Or just quit being a poor and get yourself some Sig (or Vortex or Leica, probably others by now) range finding binos that have Applied Ballistics on-board. You input all your details into a phone app and bluetooth-beam it to the unit. Range the target, and it gives the solution directly to your right eyeball.
You can change from one rifle / load to another with a few taps on your phone. Once it's synced with the binos, you don't even need your phone anymore. Yes, you're at the mercy of electronics, but it's so dang slick.

Between that and using a tripod, my brother and I have started hammering coyotes at previously unimaginable distances relatively routinely. Well that, and shooting a 22 Creedmoor. He calls his "the equalizer". I prefer "fricken laser beam".

My Swarovski scope came with these stickers…you can wright your numbers on there from their ballistics app. I cover the sticker with clear packing tape so the numbers don’t smear off.

I tape mine to the objective bell and never a problem. And use my duplex as a rangefinder. It's that simple for me.

Nothing fancy. 70 grain blitzkings for coyotes.

Called in and killed 100s.
Shoot a coyote at 300 yards, it's 600 yards there and back. (Drag).
Shoot one at 600, it's 1200 yards.
