Note from a buddy fished a walleye tournament last week in alaska sodak, sounds like a hellofa bite 4 walleye in two days over 11lbs two 31.6"s good grief sounds like fun. He said pre fishing north end of sak today tournament Saturday, pretty slow, curious how the wildfire smoke is in that area? Looking at the active wildfire map Washington state is burning up,british Columbia as well.

Akaska if you don’t have two over 10 your not going to compete in most any tournament here any more

The tournament in Akaska was a big fish tournament. They also had time slots where you could win $ for biggest in each interval. Also $ for closest to 3, 4, n 6 lbs

Don't think there was any wind today here. Beau won it again today with like 39 pounds. 43 yesterday.

My daughter fished the WOW tourny out of White Earth Bay on Saturday around 90 boats She was 1 of only 3 boats that didn't need a male on board to babysit them. She and her fishing partner came in 16th out of 90 not bad for first tourny.

Agreed Rowdie, but looking @ the payout I understand why,top 10 caught some dandy fish,1st place $3k? Hardly covers expenses.

Ya that's what I was thinking. Not quite a pro payout but with not many boats what can they do? So Schilling got 1st twice so after splitting it with his partner he probably made a little. Plus he's practicing for finals NWT

Not like the good ole days, seems walleye tournaments dont draw most big sponsors bailed but Bass tournaments are still popular down south. Back when PWT,FLW were rockin serious cash.

Buddy hit a couple big pay days during the pro/am days.

The nwt is over a 100k with the boat and cash you win.
