Proposed WY big game price increases

It's not usually free to apply, or build points in a lot of states. And requires a significant upfront cost in some states. There is without a doubt in my mind going to be less people applying and hunting in the West this year.

    Mortgage Rates-Refinance?

Yup, HOPEFULLY! I met with the bank this morning. Was going to lock in 2.75 for 15 years but have decided to wait until next week mid week. I hear that March 18 we could see another rate cut. The banker has been BUSY with refi's, and had another customer decide to hold off until next week also...

    Rangefinder Binoculars

If someone could put a Sig Kilo 2400 ABS RF into a pair of Swaro 12x50 ELs, I might consider another combo unit (for rifle hunting only). If archery is on your agenda, I can't recommend a combo unit at all, IME.

    Steak Time!

The next test steak I cook will be reverse seared on a small Weber charcoal. Regarding the pellicle on dry aged meat, you are generally supposed to trim all the hard stuff off. I read enough from the same guy online who always left it on and claimed that greatly improved the flavor. So I...

    Steak Time!

Saturday was the day. Day 45. In the end I lost about 36% weight to evaporation and trimming. Not as much as I was expecting. I ended up with 10 steaks, cut 1.5" thick. I cooked one of the end pieces for supper. I purposely left more of the darker brown stuff on the exterior side as some claim...

    Super bowl

I fucking hated the half time show. Get some dudes and some rock and roll or country music going for a change. The whole stripper performance gets old after a while.

    Super Bowl food

Never heard of steaming them, but my favorite process is brine, smoke until 155ish, and then drop in a hot fryer for a couple minutes. Toss in your favorite wing sauce after.

Sb 2315 - reborn after house gutting!

Two quarters sold within a couple miles of my place in 2019. One went for $3500/acre and the other $4k. Sounds like a strong investment idea you got there! I'm sure the people who can afford to do such things would jump all over that.

    Steak Time!

Just an update. This weekend I'm busy, so if time allows the following weekend I may deal with it then. Would put it at 45-46 days.

I'm a little concerned about that myself. It's not silver-skin, but could be spots where the bag didn't make great contact.

    Portable Grill Recommendations

I would even go further and say your use of the word "grilling" is wrong. To me they are more of a wood fired oven/smoker then a grill. And I agree with you.

    Alternative to suspended ceiling panels?

This sounds awesome. I have seen an office where they plasma cut their own tiles from weathered corrugated metal and it looked great.

    No Drink January

America disagrees! Just came from a grocery store liquor store and I was flabbergasted at the selection of bourbon there. They had some good stuff, and a hell of a variety. Hearing you always preach about rum I jumped over an aisle and saw less then a quarter of the size of bourbon selection...

    If you didn't hunt/fish

I'd likely dabble in some competition BBQ, mobile pizza, competition shooting, more family camping, more winter skiing, maybe 1-2 trips somewhere warm in the Winter.....And I'd probably advance my career if I didn't care about flexibility and time off.
