    Camping with dogs/rattle snakes

Had a friend whose dog tangled with a porcupine while camping with the family in the badlands. Took it to the vet but it was so bad, they ended up putting it down. Not a good memory for the family.

    Camping with Dogs

Sit under the awning sipping on a cold one and trying to take a nap! :;:cheers - - - Updated - - - I agree Dirty. It's not the dog's fault. It's the owner's fault. All campgrounds that I visit have rules against excessive noise. Unfortunately the management doesn't bother to enforce them.

    Camping with Dogs

Just got back from a beautiful camping trip. The only issue was that the next door neighbors had 3 really well behaved dogs, two medium sized and one black lab (who turns out is 15 years old). On Monday the couple took their pontoon out and left at least 2 of the dogs including the lab in...

My Wife and I made it to 20 years!!!

It will be 20 years for Judy and I next February. I love her dearly but like all humans of the feminine persuasion, she can go from sweet to bitch in 60 seconds! LOL

    Electric Garage Door Opener Recommendations

I have a 20 year old Overhead Door Python 2 garage door opener that is on the fritz. Anyone have a recommendation for a good reliable replacement. I think it is 3/4 HP but there is nothing in the manual or on the unit verifying that at least as far as I have found. The door is 16 X 7...

    Trailer Hubs Warm?

Was the warmer hub exposed to the sun while travelling as opposed to the other being in the shade? I think grease on brake pads is not a good thing.

You have me curious now so I will check more but I seem to recall both the manual and the dealer saying that you had to pump it out. I'll get back to you.

    Oil Extractors?

My 150 Yamaha doesn't even have a drain plug on the crankcase. Extraction is the only option. I bought an inexpensive pump. It's slow but does work.

    Spring gobblers

I second that! I was at elk camp in Colorado a few years ago and this one guy was hot to get a turkey. He asked me if I had ever shot one and I told him a few. He wondered how great they tasted. I told him you roast the bird, take a slice off both sides of the breast, and then throw the SOB...

    Minnow trap theif!

Probably not appropriate here but I recently was told of a farmer north of Robinson (now deceased) who evidently had someone trapping minnows on his slough without permission. These were commercial sized traps mind you. The farmer evidently reported this situation to the NDGF and they checked...

    Cross Ranch State Park

I was told yesterday that the Cross Ranch boat ramp is unusable due to low water and erosion. The dock is not in.
