    Livescope portable boat mount

Good info. Looks like I'm going to have to make some adjustments to my summit set up for the boat.

Our crossing at Pembina was the easiest it's ever been this year.

    Livescope

I have been running my unit out of a shuttle year round since I bought it for this exact same reason. I can get a full day at 10 degrees fishing outside with my amped 18ah battery, so there's no reason it wouldn't last all day on a boat in the summer.

Our guide, and the guide next to us, both from Blackwater Cats used a Husqvarna grass trimmer power head that was tuned and modified to attach to an auger. I did not ask what kind of auger it was but assume it uses chipper blades due to the amount of holes they are drilling each day. We never...

Just got back from a Friday/Saturday guided trip with Blackwater cats. They require you to book two days because most people just wanted a day mark locations and then came back to fish the same areas themselves the next day. Travel is possible by truck, but I wouldn't go out without second to...

    Livescope

I second everything @Kentucky Windage says here. My Garmin UHD 93sv is 10x easier to operate than a previously owned Humminbird and a lot of it has to do with the touchscreen. I also didn't really have to change anything on my settings to make it better. I run it out of the boat with a GT54...

How about a crappie Christmas tree instead? This was a toned down version of the day.

    New Boots

I field tested these boots for Korker last year. I ran the sole with shorter metal spikes and they performed great for me on the ice. I still don't recall slipping all the way to a fall in them yet (knock on wood). I will say they aren't the warmest in conditions below zero, but Korker does make...

    Livescope Accessories

I have never tried perspective mode. I will say that I prefer down view forward rather than straight down view because you can adjust how far away you want to be able to see.

    Livescope Accessories

Livescope really is incredible and tells you so much more about how the fish are acting down there. I run mine on a tactigrip shuttle, which took much longer to build than it should have, but I liked their shuttle more because the cords come out of the GLS10 black box at the top, whereas the...

Have you been out ice fishing yet?

Have i ever! Usually its the first trip where i realize i need to address some issues... like packing, or equipment problems. It took me the second trip to hit a SNAFU. Luckily, i realized i forgot to pack the auger 10 miles from the house... which in my eyes was way better than unloading at the...

    Portable Jumper pack

I "try" to remember to keep my NOCO with me when I'm on the boat or using my ATV on the ice and there was a time I needed it at the ramp!

    Stink lake

I rarely see people on it and I drive by it a few times a week. Far more houses and people ice fishing crystal springs, or the other 100 sloughs in that area.

I have hardwater fished along the tracks. Its a much steeper drop off than I anticipated. Haven't been there in almost two years now but if memory serves me correct, we didn't have many marks and didn't catch a fish. Again, two years ago.

    Lithium battery

Depends what size of battery you want to use, but I'm not into doing research for others. What I can say in reference to using an Amped Outdoors 18ah battery on my livescope is... - Much, much lighter - Mine sits on my shuttle directly on the ice, like your Genz box and powers my livescope for a...

Why do you reel left and right handed?

A DL guide told me this year that he would've had to special order his line counters to left hand reel and that they can't be switched like a spinning reel. I don't use baitcasters, ever, so it was news to me.

Ice Fishing in 49 days. I'm calling it!

I'm going with you! I hope.... I have hardwater fished thanksgiving weekend for a couple years now and I'd like to again!
